The Kelley Library in Salem again is offering Drop in Story Times for preschoolers with no registration required. This is a fun time for the kids with a guardian to hear children’s stories and interact with the crowd, laugh and have a good experience. Call Kelley Library for more information. The time for this event is 1:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. for ages three to six and open to any Salem children who haven’t already signed up for a weekly story hour.

St. Joseph’s Regional School celebrated the ending of Catholic Schools Week with a night of fun. A full Mass was celebrated at the church, and then everyone headed to the school for a potluck supper. The parents prepared the many containers of hot food while the kitchen crew supplied the many types of soup, salad and dessert, served up by faculty and staff. The room was very festive with hundreds of balloons and classy table setups. After the speeches and announcements, students and parents walked through the school showing their projects and went through the classrooms, much like a big science fair. This week was only the second of this size, but because of the excitement and interest, this annual event will go on for years to come.
